This month we are doing something a bit different. Many people have only a
fuzzy knowledge of the correct spelling of genera. Despite my alleged double-
checking of the puzzles, your friendly editor discovered three miss-spelled
words in the finished products. For some reason Microsoft does not include
bromeliad genera in their standard dictionary, so you can easily input the wrong
spellings into your personal dictionary. NOTE—I hope they are now correct!

Some puzzles should help make learning genera, and spelling them correctly,
more fun. I have made a beginning and an advanced word search puzzle. If
these are too easy, then there is a slightly more difficult crossword puzzle at
the end. The word searches follow the standard rules. The words may be
spelled backwards or forwards, up or down, or diagonally. Letters might be
shared between two words. The solutions are elsewhere in the newsletter. You
are on your honor not to peek~!

Here is a beginning word search puzzle devoted only to current bromeliad
genera. To make it easier, the list of only seven genera is printed here, for
BROMELIAD WORD SEARCH #1.
